A new 9/11 memorial has just been unveiled at Tobay Beach, just days before the anniversary.
The Wall of Honor remembers those with a connection to the town who lost their lives to 9/11-related cancer and illnesses.
The memorial also features a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center.
The community hosted a ceremony Thursday to honor those lost on Sept. 11 with a candlelight vigil, vocal performances, bagpipe music and readings. The name of those inscribed on the new memorial wall were also read aloud.
