As each Probationary Class of New FDNY EMT’s is coming to an end of their intensive training, the FDNY invites families to “Family Day”. This day provides a valuable insight into the training that these new EMT’s have experienced during their training. On Saturday, May 11, families were welcomed to the #FDNY Bureau of Training – EMS Academy at #FortTotten, Queens, for Probationary EMT Family Day. The Probies display their talents at different stations showing off their newly acquired skills.
FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro and newly promoted EMS Chief Lillian Bonsignore and other FDNY management were in attendance. Chief Lillian Bonsignore is the first woman to hold the Chief of EMS position since the department was created 154 years ago.
Graduation for the First Class of 2019 New FDNY EMT’s is scheduled for June 6, 2019.
